FAQ's What are the fees for this programme? Due to our joint venture with Te Wananga o Aotearoa we are able to offer each participant a scholarship equivalent to $2500.00. This effectively covers the normal student fees and enables this to be free to students who meet the MOE funding criteria. Do I qualify for student loans or allowances? No. This is a non fee paying programme which means there is no cost involved with the programme. Is this a full time programme? This programme is a part-time distance learning run over 52 weeks. Do I need to be currently training adults to complete this qualification? Yes. This programme is a level 5 qualification and you are required to demonstrate your ability to train adults for assessment purposes. You must have regular access to a group of adults that you are training. What if I don’t have anyone to be my workplace observer and attest to my competence? An observer is required to be able to complete your assessments. Without having access to a suitable observer you will be ineligible to enrol. Do I need to attend the four workshops? No, the workshops are not compulsory, but are important in ensuring the understanding of key models and practices in adult education. What if there are no workshops in my area? You are invited to attend any of the workshops held around the country. This is a fully distance learning programme and all information required for completion is supplied. You will have a facilitator who is available for support. What if I have already done some of the Unit Standards on this programme?
